Betwixmas is that wonderful time of year between Christmas and New Years. The pressure of the holidays eases and your New Year’s resolutions haven’t kicked in yet, so, it’s time to kick back, relax and have some fun in Arvada!

1. Skating in Olde Town Square

Looking for a family-friendly, inexpensive activity to have some fun (….and maybe burn a few holiday calories while you are it?), look no further than the skating rink in the heart of Olde Town Square. The rink is open through January 14. More details


2. NOON Year’s Eve at the Apex Center – December 31

Back by popular demand! Bring the little ones for their own personal celebration to ring in the New Year from 11am – 12:30pm. They will have music, games, a bounce house, and a balloon drop at noon to start 2024 off right. Spots are limited so early registration is recommended.

3. Cinderella at the Arvada Center

A lush and romantic new twist on the Broadway classic, perfect for the holidays!

When a young woman is forced to be a servant by her evil stepmother, it takes knowing her self-worth, some wonderful friends, and a little magic to help her get out. Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella takes a whimsical turn in the Arvada Center’s production this holiday season, creating a mysterious but playful world where magic is real and dreams come true. The show runs through December 31.

4. National Civics Bee

Calling all middle school students from public, private, charter, and home schools! Take time during the break and enter the 2024 National Civics Bee®. The competition in Arvada (brought to you by the Arvada Chamber of Commerce) will inspire middle schoolers to become better informed about American democracy, to engage respectfully and constructively in the community, and to build greater trust in others and institutions.

Essays are due January 8. The Arvada Chamber will host this event in person on April 11, 2024. The finalists and top winners will receive various prizes, including $500 cash for the first-place student. Complete details HERE.


5. Get MOVING!

You don’t have to wait until 2024 to get moving and have some fun in Arvada! Get moving at these places now and you’ll be that much more inspired when the New Year arrives! Try out Skyzone Arvada, Archery Games, and the TRN Grandview!
