Arvada is partnering with Bird Rides, a California-based company, to bring electric scooters to the city.

This partnership comes as a component of a Shared Micromobility Pilot Program, which will allow bicycles, e-bicycles and e-scooters to be used in a one-mile radius around Regional Transportation District G-Line stations in Arvada, city officials said in a news release Tuesday.

The program was initially approved in August after being recommended by the city’s Transportation Committee, officials said. It is intended to help "with transit connectivity and mobility around the new RTD G-Line stations in Arvada."
